There are 8 workstations at the Garfield Park Branch Library available for public use. The Homework Center is designed for, and focuses on, use by young adults in the Westside area. Young people have equal, if not greater access to the resources of the branch, computers included. The environment of the building during the after school hours often reflects this. So please remember this when you use the computers.
The general system rules are as follows:
- You may sign up for and use the Homework Center once a day for a maximum of one hour. Time is rounded to the nearest half hour.
- You may sign up for a time the current day only. Sign ups may only be made in person, not over the phone.
- If you are not here within five minutes of your appointed time, library staff will assign the time to the next
person in line.
- You must download attachments or files to disk. There is no "temporary" downloading to the hard drives.
- You may not re-configure the computers in any way or install your own software.
- Please read the complete set of posted rules before you begin your session.
